The recent drop in prices of Apple’s iPad 2, makes it a worthwhile choice of tablets, bringing you into the ecosystem of apps, with the new upgrade to iOS 5.1, ibooks 2 and iPhoto.
However, you are at a loss as to how best to transport your lovely new shiny and bright device. You need look no further than the range of Belkin cases on offer and one of these is the Snap Shield.
The Snap Shield is literally as its name suggests. It snaps on to your iPad and offers a protective shelf for the back plate The Shield is lightweight, impact resistant and soft-touch.
The snap shield is available in a range of colours and I have pictured two for you to feast your eyes upon. The first is a soft baby pink and the other is a clear white. As you can see I have a Gelaskin on my iPad and this in no way impacted on the Snap Shields case and it fitted perfectly on to the iPad. The see-through capability of the Snap Shield enables you to see either the plain aluminium back of the iPad or a design on the case such as the Gelaskin.
The snap shield features a soft to touch finish, I can only describe the feeling reminiscent of touching velvet and it has a warmth to it. The corners of the Shield line up accurately with the sides of the iPad and also around all the access points leaving plenty of free room for connectors. A unique feature of the Snap Shied is that it houses a slight lip around all around the sides of the Shield to maintain a firm grip of the Shield when placed on your iPad. Your iPad is not going to accidentally pop-out of the Shield. The Snap Shield offers a very minimal existence adding very little weight or depth to the iPad.
The Snap Shield is available from Belkin and leading suppliers for approximately £19.99
I attach below a full library of the images for both the clear-opaque and the baby-pink Snap Shield.
