You may be aware that samsung recently released their new flagship mobile phone, the “Samsung Galaxy S3“. It has bearly been a year since there last flagship device the S2 and a lot of people have been thinking should they switch to the S2′s successor the Galaxy S3
A lot of people have been thinking should they switch to the S2 successor the S3? I know as I was one of these people. While you sit there thinking what this new mobile device may be better at? How can it benefit you? you heard all the rumours of what it will look like. What all the new things in the software department it will come with, but your still sat there and thinking well it can’t be that different right after all it’s still going to have Samsung’s Touchwiz UI and Google’s Ice Cream Sandwich Right?
Then the day finally arrives and Samsung launch the next Galaxy in London’s Earl’s Court and the demonstration is just so good, Touchwiz is so much better and so different. Google’s OS Ice Cream Sandwich looks amazing and there’s all these new features like S Voice, S Beam and other new / enhanced features. You’re left with your head spinning, You’re back to square one. should i get this new phone? Can i really afford to go out and spend nearly 5-600 pounds on a new phone? While i already have a good device in the form of the S2? Am i going to use these new feature‘s? So many questions and so many doubts, Well that was just my own experience.
Finally i thought i would sit down put pen to paper on work out the pro’s and con’s, Of actually switching and i found that the pro’s out numbered the con’s. I would use these new feature’s more often than i thought for example it’s raining and i get an important text that needs answering urgently, To stand in the rain with my device getting soaked surely will damage my phone? My warranty will not cover that! With the S3 though i can (While still in the text message screen) just put it to my ear and the phone rings the person, I was just going to answer in a text. So no soaking wet phone, no worrying about warranty problems, solved great.
Does this mean we all should change to the S3 from the S2 ( Samsung would be over joyed if we all did) No!! If i was you i would sit down and work out if you would use the new feature’s. If i can afford to spend so much money on a new phone when the S2 is a great device in it’s own right. If you have the option of an upgrade from your network, Do you want to be tied down again for another lengthy contract term? These are the things you need to consider before making the move from the S2 to the S3.
Personally i do not regret it in anyway. The S3 is just an awesome device. I would advise everyone to sit down and think about it before making the change, The S2 is still an awesome mobile device and if i wasn’t going to use all the new feature’s of the S3 i would have stuck to my S2. So don’t rush to get the latest device, Think if you really need the new enhanced features or not, before you do anything and make a rash decision! After all it’s you who has to live with new device.
I love my Galaxy S3 and I couldn’t live without it now. Yet sometimes i still use my S2 depending on the situation, They both have there good points and bad points. Take the S3 away and i would be lost now, So think carefully be wise and do what’s right for you.
