In today’s Technology Made Simple, we take a look at the ‘settings’ application in Apple’s iPhone.
If like me, you are a bit afraid of menu’s and their functionality then take a huge breath and breath out slowly, this is not as daunting a task as it may look.
Firstly, head into the settings icon on your iPhone. Once there, you are literally in it! ‘It’ being the ‘settings’. It covers all your applications that are found installed by default on your iPhone and those applications that you yourself download and installed. Every app installed has one of these.
Clicking on any of these apps takes you into a mini menu, some are longer than others and offers extra facilities, capabilities or user settings and some offer no additional facilities at all.
Click through each one and set up your own personal settings. Once you have done it, there is no need for you to do it again as the settings are remembered whenever you update the application.
My sincerest recommendation is that you go through your list and check out each and everyone. It may appear daunting and a trial at first, but once it is done, you will thank yourself for doing it.
As well as the settings menu, each application may offer additional preferences within the app itself, but that is a ‘Technology Made Simple’ for another day.
