BlackBerry PlayBook won’t run Android apps until the end of the year

RIM previously said that the uninspiring BlackBerry PlayBook would have the ability to run Android apps from this summer.

According to Engadget however, the ability to run Android apps (a feature it desperately needs) won’t hit the “World’s First Professional Grade Tablet” until late fall which means the end of the year.

RIM can’t afford any more delays, especially as the lack of apps is one of things that put me off the BlackBerry PlayBook, and with a new iPad set for launch at the end of this year, RIM need to push this feature out ASAP!!
